EAC unified regulation for vertical transport under development
New technical regulation for vertical transport (elevators, escalators, passenger conveyors, lifting platforms) may come out in the EAEU.
The draft of the regulation will be developed on the basis of the technical regulation “On the safety of elevators” (TR CU 011/2011).
The unified technical regulation will make it possible to prescribe general safety requirements, standardization and procedures related to the operation and maintenance of vertical transport, as well as to optimize the activities of conformity assessment bodies, supervisory authorities, and service organizations.
