SGR will be required for oral hygiene products
EEC Council adopted amendments to Section II of the Unified List of Products Subject to State Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance at the customs border and customs territory of the EAEU.
It is planned to add “oral or dental hygiene products, including fixing powders and pastes for dentures” to the list of goods for which state registration is mandatory with the issuance of state registration certificates (SGR); threads used to clean interdental spaces (dental silk), in individual packaging for retail sale,” since these products do not fall under the technical regulation “On the safety of perfumery and cosmetic products” (TR CU 009/2011). The adopted changes will eliminate legal gaps in the legislation, since today not all oral hygiene products and products have undergone a conformity assessment procedure before being put into circulation on the EAEU market.
