Amendments to TR CU 005/2011 “On the safety of packaging”
Amendments to TR CU 005/2011 “On the safety of packaging” entered into force on 05.03.2025, which were adopted by the Decision of the EEC Council 61 of 06.09.2024.
In general, the changes are small, but the most important is the application of declaration schemes in accordance with those approved by the Decision of the EEC Council 44 of 18.04.2018.
For imported products, the use of scheme 1D (i.e. based on your own evidence) will be unacceptable. Only individual empty packaging is subject to declaration under TR CU 005/2011.
