New lists of standards to TR CU 004/2011
On May 12, 2023, the official publication of the decision of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) No. 55 dated May 11, 2023, which adopted new editions of the lists of standards to TR CU 004/2011 “On the safety of low-voltage equipment”. Previously adopted lists by the decision of the Commission of the Customs Union No. 768 dated August 16, 2011 are recognized as invalid.
New lists of standards to TR CU 004/2011 will be applied 180 calendar days from the date of official publication of the decision on their approval.
The updated list of standards for voluntary application includes 681 standards. This includes GOSTs for general safety requirements, as well as private requirements for: portable drilling machines; portable cutting machines; circular saws; control cables; audio, video equipment, etc.

As for the updated list of standards for equipment testing methods, it includes 747 standards. Among the test methods, one can single out: resistance to climatic external influencing factors of electrical products; voltage testing of cables, wires and cords; wire tensile tests; resistance of insulation and sheaths made of polyvinyl chloride plastic to cracking and deformation at elevated temperatures of cables, wires and cords; calculation in electrical installations of alternating current with voltage up to 1 kV, etc.

The validity of individual standards is also limited until January 1, 2025.
