Amendments to TR CU 018/2011 prepared for used auto parts
The Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation has prepared amendments to the technical regulation “On the safety of wheeled vehicles” (TR CU 018/2011) in terms of clarifying requirements for use of used parts for car repairs.
In accordance with amendments, it is proposed to include in regulation a list of auto components that cannot be reused when making changes to the design of vehicles in operation.
According to official data, the list will include airbags, automatic or non-automatic seat belts in assembly, seats (if the belt and/or airbag fastenings are built into the seats), immobilizers, catalytic converters, particulate filters, exhaust mufflers, etc.
