Amendments to EAC technical regulations for equipment

On November 23, the Decision of the EEC Council 137 of November 24, 2023 on amendments to three technical regulations came into force:
🚗 TR CU 010/2011 “On the safety of machinery and equipment”;
🚜 TR CU 031/2012 “On the safety of agricultural and forestry tractors and trailers to them”;
🧯 TR CU 032/2013 “On the safety of equipment operating under excess pressure”.
In addition, the lists of standards for TR CU 010/2011 were adjusted – Decision of the EEC Board 116 of October 8, 2024.
So, the main changes according to the Decision of the EEC Council 137, which were written about above:
– the concept of “dual-fuel engine” is introduced – an engine that is designed to operate simultaneously on diesel and gaseous fuel;
– installation of equipment for powering engines using gaseous fuel on self-propelled vehicles is allowed;
– TR CU 010/2011 is supplemented with safety requirements for machines with equipment for powering the engine with gaseous fuel.
Also, from November 23, 2024, equipment and elements of equipment for powering engines with gaseous fuel, specially designed for use on self-propelled vehicles, agricultural and forestry tractors, are excluded from the scope of application of TR CU 032/2013.
