On Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 1133 and declarations under a simplified scheme
On July 10, 2023 Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 1133 adopted amendments to Appendix 18 of Decree 353, affecting the procedure for issuing declarations of conformity according to a simplified scheme.
The main changes are listed below:
1. The possibility of filing declarations under the simplified scheme has been extended until September 1, 2024.
2. Also, until September 1, 2024, it is allowed to import products into the territory of the Russian Federation without labeling, provided for by mandatory requirements.
3. From September 1, 2023, after filing the declaration under the simplified scheme and before its expiration (6 months), the applicant must confirm the conformity of the products in full.
4. Placing information about the declaration, drawn up according to the simplified scheme, on the website of the Federal Accreditation Service, is carried out by the decision of the applicant. At the same time, if the applicant decides not to post information, the sale of products in retail is not allowed. The possibility of issuing simplified declarations was established by Appendix No. 18 to Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 353, within which it is allowed to replace mandatory certification and declaration of products with a declaration of conformity based on evidence obtained with the participation of third countries. More details about the changes can be found in the Decree of the Government of Russia No. 1133 On Amendments to Appendix No. 18 to Decree of the Government of Russia of 12.03.2022 No. 353.
