Mandatory presence of GLN codes for imported goods
We inform you that the presence of GLN codes will become mandatory for imported goods:
for registration of declaration of conformity – from July 1 (Order of the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia dated July 31, 2020 No. 478);
for registration of certificates of conformity – from August 1 (Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 1856 of November 18, 2020).
GLN is a global manufacturing site. It must be in the possession of the manufacturer or trademark owner.
If you do not have the GLN code, you can issue it in the GS1 company. It is a recognized international organization that registers GLN codes for all manufacturers and importers.
