Amendments to technical regulation on food safety adopted
The EEC Council adopted amendments to technical regulation “On Food Safety” (TR CU 021/2011) in terms of establishing quantitative residues of veterinary drugs in food products of animal origin.
Thus, in accordance with amendments, the maximum permissible levels of residual content are established for 75 veterinary medicinal products (pharmacologically active substances) in food products (unprocessed and processed) of animal origin.
In addition, according to the press service of the EEC, requirements have been established for control of residues of veterinary medicinal products not named in technical regulations and (or) not registered on the territory of the EAEU, which can be identified during the safety check of imported products.
