Technical regulation on safety of building materials
Technical regulation on safety of building materials will be submitted for discussion.
Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia prepared a bill on empowering Rosstandart with functions of control and supervision activities in the field of building materials.
Statistically, a quarter of all construction products on Russian market are counterfeit or falsified, and this causes enormous damage to the economy and affects the safety of life and health of people. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen control over production of building materials.
The draft technical regulation on the safety of building materials and products will soon be submitted for public discussion.
Representatives of authorities, members of the EEC Board and experts from industrial communities came to this decision at the 49th meeting of the EEC Advisory Committee.
As part of implemented work, experts managed to reach necessary agreements, agree on common approaches regarding requirements for the safety of building materials, as a result of which an updated version of the draft technical regulation was prepared. Consideration of the project will take place within the framework of public discussion.
