Changes made to technical regulation for food additives
The EEC Council adopted comprehensive changes to the technical regulation “Safety requirements for food additives, flavorings and technological aids” (TR CU 029/2012).
By amendments to the document, according to the EEC press service, 19 food additives are excluded from the list of permitted ones and 6 new items are added to it. In addition, the list of enzyme preparations and the list of flavoring substances are being expanded, the scope of application of individual food additives will be adjusted, and the names of food product groups will be edited.
Changes to the technical regulation were prepared by the Ministry of Health of Kazakhstan, and based on changes adopted by international and European communities in the field of safety of food additives, flavorings, and technological means.
