Russia will create its own certification standard for oil and gas equipment
According to Alexey Fadeev, Director of Work with Key Partners at the Institute of Oil and Gas Technological Initiatives, Doctor of Economics, standards are currently being developed based on foreign ones, but taking into account Russian specifics in order to maintain the level of safety that was previously achieved.
He explained that the American Petroleum Institute certification body stopped issuing certificates to Russian manufacturers and began to revoke them.
Gazprom, Gazpromneft, Tatneft, and Sibur have joined forces to establish the Institute for Oil and Gas Technology Initiatives (INTI). Today, 12 energy companies have developed over 400 Russian standards.
