New Amendments to the Technical Regulations for PPE
On April 27, 2026, new amendments to CU TR 019/2011 “On the Safety of Personal Protective Equipment” were published, which will contribute to improving worker protection.
For example:
the list of products subject to mandatory conformity assessment was expanded;
new terms were introduced, such as “repellent,” “self-rescuer,” “anchor device,” “virucidal activity,” etc.
labeling, efficacy, safety, and operating documentation requirements were detailed and tightened; puncture, cut, impact, fire, and heat resistance standards were increased.
New appendices were also introduced, containing:
- a list of active ingredients for dermatological PPE.
- requirements for toxicological parameters of repellents.
- updated certification and declaration schemes for new types of PPE.
